Proposals of Lean Management of Logistics System in the Field of Fasteners in the Production Company

The diploma thesis deals with the introduction of lean management of selected processes. In these processes is looking for a suitable setting to eliminate waste to reduce the cost of material procurement logistics. Based on the analysis in the company is created a proposal, including its costs and benefits, after implementation in the selected company the set goals are achieved.
Lean Management of Production System

This thesis is focused on lean management of the production system in the company ASSA ABLOY Czech & Slovakia s. r. o. The main outcome is the proposal of a new layout and process balancing with the use of lean manufacturing methods. The first part describes the theoretical basics which are used for analysis afterwards. The results of these analyses are then used as a main basis for the proposal of changes in the chosen part of the production process.

Based on the analysis, proposals are made to improve the current logistics processes taking place in the warehouse, to increase the quality of operations associated with the storage and removal of material, increase the use of labor capacity, improve workplace conditions, and increase occupational safety.

First part describes current state of mentioned process in the company and also its detailed analysis by basic methods of industrial engineering for work measurement and analysis. Considering current state and its analysis, theoretical part describes modern trends and methods in the sphere of lean logistics. Suggestion part is focused on elimination of waste from the process by means of lean logistics and also on assets brought by it.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the material flow in a company located at the second stage of the supply. Material flow is monitored in terms of logistics. The focus becomes reducing production lead times due to optimized inventory. In the theoretical section briefly summarizes the nature of material flow and the means used to optimize inventory. The content of the practical part is a detailed conflict of manufacturing and non-manufacturing operations, which will be the basis for possible suggestions to improve all material flow.
